Letters to Our Children May

Last month my oldest attended his first "school" dance of any kind with our homeschool co-op. It was so hard for me. I couldn't wait for the day to come and go. We just want all of their experiences to be perfect so I was extremely nervous about how it would go. Here is my post from Instagram after his Spring Formal.

So I have this kid, I adore him. He makes me proud in so many ways....his kind heart, his humor, his unbelievable wisdom. He always wants to better himself. I love that he is who he is and he has no desire to follow crowds or trends. He has never been into things that a lot of teenagers are into. So I was really surprised when he said he wanted to go to the Spring Formal. He doesn't even like to dance. He went. He watched. He decided that it definitely isn't for him. But he said that he wanted to have the experience and I'm proud of him for that. He is truly inspiring.

Love this kid so much!
