Letters to Our Children: January

I've been wanting to do this for so long.

But I'm really good at procrastination.

Hopefully this is the beginning of consistency.

I want to start off by saying I love all of you. You changed my life. You gave it purpose.

I want many things for you but I will start with what I think is most important.

Knowledge is one of the few things that no one can control but you. Never stop learning. Never stop growing.

Be kind. Choose joy. Love always. But never compromise who you are and your integrity for those who don't value either.

And last but most importantly, "Both the despair of our struggles and the ecstasy of our successes are temporary, so keep your eyes on that which lasts forever – the Kingdom of God."
